The College for Health, Community and Policy is a new and innovative college dedicated to advancing human health. Synergy is perhaps the simplest way to describe the complex and interactive nature of the college, which was created in 2020 and weaves together nine separate disciplines. From the varying yet interdependent perspectives of our experts in Criminology and Criminal Justice, Demographics, Kinesiology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Psychology, Public Administration, Public Health, Social Work, and Sociology, the college is committed to finding new and innovative ways to prepare our students for the modern setting of health-related careers. Our strategic plan is focused on community engagement, research excellence, and undergraduate and graduate programs. We strive to accomplish our mission by focusing primarily on improving well-being and developing solutions for complex local and global social problems, with an emphasis on equity and inclusion.
